This version is lighter in weight and swingweight compared to the previous one, bringing it closer to my preferred specifications, and to make it a bit more head light. The Radical line is a bit tricky because in stock weight, the MP version is too light, but in stock form the Pro has always been a bit slow through the strike zone. From: Jerami, 5/2/21Ĭomments: Long time user of the Radical line, and as stated in other reviews, the evolution of all Head frames in the Graphene era means they share little in feel or playability with what they used to be. Currently in the midst of spring tennis and am loving spinning balls in the wind with it. I honestly wouldn't play with another racquet, and I don't make adjustments to the stock version. It sounds like a cracking whip when I serve and the ball breaks nicely when I hit slice and topspin serves. With this one, my forehand and backhand pop. I'm a 6'1" 170 pounds, 6.0 level player who has no trouble generating power off either wing and is very picky about balance and feel, and this racquet scratches my itch for power combined with control and spin. The racquet has nice balance, and I have great feel with it. What I like is the balance and the spin you get when you let the racquet head drop on its own when you hit volleys or drop shots. I've played with this style for years and have no trouble playing with the Pro model. One video reviewer said he felt like the racquet got pushed around. From: Thomas, 6/1/21Hope ValleyĬomments: Love this stick! Like it so much, I ordered a second one! I'm a 4.0 player.Ĭomments: Hits great. Everything was delivered as promised and also very quickly. From: Rich, 6/2/21NYĬomments: Nice racquet. There is a lot of control and feel with it and it makes me use proper footwork to generate power. I used HEAD Rip Control string at 55 pounds and I got a good control.Ĭomments: I really enjoy these racquets. The grip has been updated to a rounder shape.Ĭomments: Good racquet and great feeling when I hit the ball. Intermediate and advanced players looking for a nice blend of spin, power and plow through should give this racquet a serious look. With this version of the Radical Pro, Head keeps a good thing going. Players who can get this stick moving fast will find enough control on serves to swing for power. ![]() Aggressive players will find enough pop to close out points with authority. At net, the Radical Pro rewards sound mechanics with penetrating volleys. It also comes around impressively fast on service returns, making it easier to fend off big first serves. Like the previous generation, this stick has decent plow through, which makes it feel solid on blocks, chips and counterpunches. Although not as spin-friendly as Head's Extreme Pro, the Radical Pro has no problem hitting a heavy ball that drops hard and explodes off the court. ![]() ![]() On groundstrokes, the 98 square inch head feels precise on big cuts, and the 325 swingweight supplies the needed mass for driving the ball powerfully through the court. Compared to the previous generation of the Radical Pro, this model is firmer, giving the string bed a crisper and livelier response. Other technologies include a Dynamic String Pattern, which optimizes the spacing of the center main strings for better directional control. ![]() Head updates this model with Graphene 360 a technology that not only delivers the benefits of polarized weighting but also reinforces the racquet's perimeter in key locations to provide a more solid and powerful response. At 11.5 ounces strung and boasting a 325-RDC swingweight, the Radical Pro not only feels solid at impact, but it rewards full swings with impressive levels of spin, power and precision. Introducing the Graphene 360 Radical Pro, the heaviest member of the Radical family.
